Military Flight Students

Military Students, below is a summary of the aviation flight costs associated with military students flying at °µºÚ±¬ÁÏÍø.  We are a fully accredited, deemed approved flight school by the VA, with the Private Pilot all the way to CFI being covered using Post 9/11 G.I. The °µºÚ±¬ÁÏÍø Flight requirements are as follows:

  • The Aviation Flight Management Degree requires each student to obtain a Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Multi-engine Pilot’s license as well as Certified Flight Instructor Airplane, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, and Certified Flight Instructor Multi-engine Instructor licenses.

  • Students Minoring in Aviation Flight Technology are required to obtain a Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, and Commercial Pilot’s License.

  • The Aviation Flight Management Associates requires each student to obtain a Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Commercial Pilot, and Multi-Engine Pilot’s License.

  • The Unmanned Aerial Systems Degree requires each student to obtain a Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, and Commercial Pilot’s License.

The required FAA minimum training hours are as follows:

  • The maximum amount of flight training that the VA has agreed to pay is the equivalent to the minimums stated below (if applicable).

  • One hour of flight is equivalent to the hourly rate of the aircraft in addition to the hourly rate for the instructor.

  • One hour of Simulator is equivalent to the hourly rate of the simulator in addition to the hourly rate of the instructor.

All Flight students, including student veterans, are required to purchase the following documents from the °µºÚ±¬ÁÏÍø Flight School. The VA has agreed to pay all mandatory fees for student veterans utilizing VA educational benefits (if applicable).

Required Medical Certificate

Any person exercising the privileges of any of the following certificates: airline transport pilot certificate, commercial pilot certificate, private pilot certificate, recreational pilot certificate, flight instructor certificate (when acting as pilot in command if serving as a required pilot flight crewmember), flight engineer certificate, flight navigator certificate, or student pilot certificate. Any person exercising the privileges of any of the following certificates: airline transport pilot certificate, commercial pilot certificate, private pilot certificate, recreational pilot certificate, flight instructor certificate (when acting as pilot in command if serving as a required pilot flight crewmember), flight engineer certificate, flight navigator certificate, or student pilot certificate must hold at least a Class III medical certificate. V.A. students are required to have a Class II medical certificate.

Note: Depending on the type of pilot certificate a student is working towards, may change the class of medical certificate required.
